Learn how to make your very own candy cane candle!
Said to be inspired by a Shepherd’s crook, candy canes are thought to date back as far as the 17th century. Back then, the sweet treat was gifted to choir boys to keep them settled during long ceremonies. Today, there’s nothing more iconic than the alternating red and white stripes of a festive candy cane hanging pride of place within the branches of a Christmas tree.

Things you’ll need to create your own candy cane candle:
- Our Real Wax Authentic Flame candle (We opted for our medium 12.5cm size).
- Plastic candy canes.
- Candy cane inspired ribbon.
- Hot glue gun.
- Scissors.
Step-by-Step:
1.Before you begin, check that your Authentic Flame Candle is working.
2. After this, glue the back of the first candy cane. Start from the base and glue up to where the hook begins.
3. Then, line the candy cane straight and press this firmly against the candle to secure into place.
4. Once secure, repeat this step for the next candy cane. TOP TIP – To ensure that the candy canes stay straight, glue the edge of the first candy cane and press the second one firmly into place as close as possible beside it on the candle.
5. Continue these steps until the entire candle is surrounded in candy canes.
6. Finally and once covered, finish your masterpiece off with a candy-inspired bow to complete the look.
