When and where to find some of the UK’s best Christmas markets

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and there’s nothing that gets us feeling more festive than a Christmas market.
Whether it marks the start of our Christmas shopping, or just gives us an excuse to wrap up in our winter coats, we can’t think of anywhere we’d rather spend our time this winter than at a Christmas market, walking around and drinking mulled wine.
But where can you find the best ones? Here’s a little information about when and where to find some of the UK’s best Christmas markets.

Birmingham

November 16th to December 24th

The biggest German Christmas Market outside of mainland Europe, this market is more than just its size; Birmingham’s festive festivities include a feast of pretzels, schnitzels, crêpes and bratwursts, all washed down with a choice of mulled wine and Bavarian beers.

London South Bank

November 10th – December 30th

Now, of course, you could choose any of the amazing markets that go on in London, but for the sake of this list, we chose one.
What says Christmas in London more than sipping on mulled wine and indulging in a German sausage or two, all under the shadow of the London Eye?

Edinburgh

Don’t be fooled into thinking Edinburgh only comes alive at New Year, it’s also the place to be this Christmas.
The Christmas market will once again return to East Princes St Gardens, for a whole host of bespoke and traditional Christmas items! This traditional and romantic Christmas market, nestled in the heart of the City, offers a unique and festive shopping experience for all who visit.

Well, we just couldn’t have a list of the best Christmas markets in the UK without including the award-winning Bath Christmas market.
With over 200 chalets spread throughout Bath, with its picturesque Georgian streets and iconic roman baths, this Christmas market may start later than most on this list but it’s sure to fill you with enough Christmas cheer to last the year.
