How to run connectable lights in two different directions

Christmas Quiz

Even if you are a seasoned expert when it comes to connectable lights at Christmas, there are some tricks of the trade that you may not be aware of. One such trick is running lights off in two different directions. This requires a Y connector, which we stock in both white and green, meaning you can match the colour of your other cables.

Using a Y connector

Y connectors will allow you to run lights from our connectable range in two different directions. They look exactly as they sound, with the first end being inserted into either the lights or cable that you wish to run it from, before breaking off into two separate directions from the middle to create two runs of lights.

It can be used in a whole range of situations to give you added flexibility for your display. For example if you wish to run lights on different levels of your house (roof gutters, lower gutters and porch for instance,) then this could be used to run lights in different directions from the middle of centre of your display. Alternatively you could use the Y connector at the start of your display (straight after the plug) and choose to run lights in two different directions on either your tree or house.
