Purple Lights For Hope

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month (PCAM), so we have joined forces with Pancreatic Cancer UK for their purple lights for hope campaign, which aims to put a spotlight on pancreatic cancer and the people it affects.

One person dies from pancreatic cancer every hour, making the disease the UK’s 5th biggest cancer killer. It has the worst survival outcome of any of the 21 most common cancers, with less than 4% of patients surviving 5 years or longer. Those shockingly low survival rates have remained virtually unchanged for the past 40 years! Whilst mortality rates for most cancers are falling, those for pancreatic cancer are rising.

Last year 60 landmarks around the UK, including Trafalgar Square, the Blackpool Tower, the SSE Hydro in Glasgow and Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, were lit up in purple to help raise awareness pancreatic cancer.

But we think this year could be even bigger! Purple lights for hope starts on the 1st of November, and we will be donating 10% of all proceeds made from sales of selected purple lights between now and the 14th of November to Pancreatic Cancer UK.

So let’s get filling up those online shopping baskets and help raise some much needed money and awareness for pancreatic cancer by lighting up your homes and gardens.

If you want to get involved with purple lights for hope or want to see if any of your local landmarks have already signed up then go to: and find out how you can help raise awareness for pancreatic cancer this year. Or of course you can do your own purple lights for hope display with some of our selected products below!
