Festive Lights have been at it again…. we took on Tough Mudder on the 7th September 2019 to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
Now, although the day was fun, and a great test of everyone’s strength, the Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity close to a lot of our employees hearts, especially our Goods-In supervisor Ashley. Ashley lost 2 of his closest friends to Cancer whilst in high school. Every year Ashley takes part in a form of fundraising for the amazing TCT charity and this year the whole of Festive Lights are behind him taking part in this TOUGH challenge!
As well as donations from our friends and family, for the entire weekend, on both Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of September, we donated 10% of ALL sales from the website to Teenage Cancer Trust! We also did this last year when we tackled the Yorkshire 3 Peaks for the BHF!
The day itself was TOUGH (well, the clues in the name isn’t it?) and we pushed through blood sweat and tears to complete the 10k challenge in just under 3 hours and 15 minutes. The whole team stayed together and showed amazing teamwork skills as we hurled ourselves under and over the many muddy obstacles. Check out our photos below.
