Make your own creepy Halloween candles

Well, it’s near the end of October and you know what that means (no, not that it’s less than 10 weeks to Christmas!) It means it’s time to get ready to be scared, because Halloween is hiding right around the corner and we think it’s going to be our scariest Halloween yet.

So, if you’re a fan of all things spooky, or just like any excuse to use some glitter, then keep reading because we’ve got a super scary simple DIY that’s perfect for you.

 What you will need:

  • LED candles
  • Black spray paint
  • Black glitter
  • Real red candle
  • Nails
  • Glue
  • Fake spider webs
  • Plastic spiders

Afraid of the dark👻

Spray your candle black, making sure you cover the fake flame, we covered ours in blu tack so that the paint wouldn’t stick to it.

Cover your candle in as many coats of paint as you need, then while the last coat is still tacky you can then cover it with glitter for a spooky sparkle.

Nailed it💉

Don’t attempt this DIY if you get woozy at the sight of gore. First, you’ll need to get a real red candle, once the candle is lit you can start dripping the red wax onto your candle, creating a dripping blood effect.

When this has dried, you can add a couple of nails into your candle for an extra horrifying effect.

Wicked webs🕷

This last candle DIY couldn’t be any simpler; take your candle, cover it in glue, add some fake spider webs and you’re done! You could even add a couple of fake spiders if you really want to give people a fright.
