Things you will need:

  • Metal Floral Hoop or an Embroidery Ring (we have used a 14” metal wire wreath from Amazon)
  • Battery Wire Lights (We used our copper wire lights)
  • Foliage (We used faux flowers and lilac foam greenery from Hobbycraft)
  • Hot glue gun
  • Strong scissors or wire snips
  • Ribbon or a door hanger (depending on where you place it)

Step-by-Step:

  1. Start by wrapping the metal hoop in your chosen wire lights. We found it easier to start at the top of the wire lights, and finish with the battery pack. (TOP TIP – Make sure you test your lights before wrapping!)
  2. Secure the battery pack in place with the hot glue gun at the bottom of the hoop.
  3. Our next step is optional- we wrapped the battery pack in some neutral ribbon to make it easier to disguise.
  4. Trim down the stems of your foliage to make it easier to attach to the hoop.
  5. Lay out the faux flowers and greenery to create your design before sticking it on.
  6. Begin attaching the foliage around the battery pack with the hot glue gun.
  7. We trimmed down some greenery to cover the battery pack.
  8. Add the faux flowers until you have created your desired look.
  9. Attach the ribbon or door hanger to the top of your wreath, depending on where you place it.

Wreaths are a 2022 must have! The great thing is, they can be used all year round! The beauty of making it yourself is that you can fully customise it to suit your home and any season, with endless styles to choose from.
